Our curriculum at KS3 is designed to provide learners with a well-rounded education including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Arts, and Physical Education. We also believe in the importance of experiential learning and offer plenty of opportunities in all of our settings for learners to engage in outdoor activities and educational visits. SMSC Development

We place a strong emphasis on Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) development at Moorfield Learning Centre. Our curriculum is designed to enhance Learners' SMSC skills through various activities and initiatives.

At Moorfield Learning Centre, our timetable is carefully planned to cater to the diverse needs of our learners. We understand that each young person is unique, and our timetable reflects this by offering a variety of activities and lessons to engage and challenge them.

Short Lessons for Optimal Learning

We believe in the power of short, focused lessons to optimise learning outcomes. Our learning sessions are designed to be interactive, engaging, and impactful, ensuring that the learners remain attentive and motivated throughout the day.

Regular Breaks for Refreshment and Relaxation

We understand the importance of regular breaks for learners to refresh and recharge. Our school day includes scheduled breaks to allow students to relax, socialise, and rejuvenate, ensuring they remain focused and energised throughout the day.

Outreach hub learning Sessions

Morning Sessions:

  • Days: Monday to Friday

Afternoon Sessions:

  • Early Finish: 2:00 pm on Fridays

Our outreach hubs offer engaging learning sessions designed to cater to the diverse needs of our learners. These sessions are structured to provide a holistic educational experience that fosters growth and development in all areas.

Attendance is crucial for your child's academic success and overall development. Regular attendance ensures that they do not miss out on important learning opportunities and helps them stay connected with their peers and staff.

Reporting Absences: If your child is ill and unable to attend school, please notify us before 9:30am on the day of absence. This allows us to keep track of attendance records and provide appropriate support to your child upon their return.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that your child attends school regularly and on time. Together, we can create a supportive learning environment for all our young people.

TRANSITION SUPPORT

At Moorfield Learning Centre, we understand the importance of a smooth transition for learners moving to the new school setting. We offer dedicated transition support for those young people who may face challenges settling in.
